Short answer: Wall art above a sofa or bed should be about two thirds as wide as the furniture. Enter the width of your sofa, bed or wall below, and the CozyPhoto4u wall art size calculator shows which print sizes fit, and how high to hang them.
Sizes are the CozyPhoto4u print sizes (30x45, 45x60 and 60x90 cm), and each photo is available in the orientation shown on its product page, either portrait or landscape, not both. Canvas and framed prints are the same size. The room previews are drawn to scale but simplified: the furniture is a typical size and your room will differ.
How the calculator works
The calculator uses the 2/3 rule: art above a piece of furniture looks balanced when it covers about two thirds of the furniture's width. It then compares that target with every CozyPhoto4u print size, in the orientation of the photo you chose, and shows the print that comes closest.
Above a 140 cm bed, for example, the ideal width is about 93 cm, so a 60x90 cm landscape print (90 cm wide) is the best fit. Above a 100 cm sideboard, a 60x90 cm portrait or a 45x60 cm landscape print works well. For a sofa wider than about 165 cm, even the largest print is a little narrower than two thirds, so choose the 60x90 cm landscape print and centre it.
Tips before you order
Cut paper to the size the calculator suggests and tape it to the wall for a day or two, so you see it from the sofa, from the door and in evening light.
